So i had been thinking for along time of starting up guard, and with the upcoming new release, i figured now would be as good of a time as any. Most of my work up to this point, has been done in darker shades and colors, So i though id try something new and different for a change.
I havent fully decided on if i want to do the white caseing on the lasguns, or go for the more ornate brass housings. Im also not too sure if the white is good as is or not.
As i said, this is all a first attempt on my half, so any ideas or remarks about it would be greately appreceated.
Oh.. but i dont look so good with all those.. tentaclly things..
i'd say the white is in need of some shading. but the idea on a whole seems a good un to me
Hmm, Well the blue is quite nice but the rest is a bit bland to be honest, the skin is a bit dark and the white needs shading.

I like your idea, but the mini looks very unfinished with the white. It does need shading - fortress grey shades well. For the fatigues, however, I would suggest rather than doing a single blue you do a camo scheme. Something like below:
You could sub in some blue, a light shade. I think the mini at the moment is very basic, you could make it look really good with a little bit of effort.
