Hey guys this is my Land Raider for my WIP of Grey Knights. What do u all think can be done before I move on the the Knights themselves?
I'm not sure if it's just the picture quality, but the metallic paint looks a little dark for a Grey Knight Land Raider.
If that's what you intended, then looks great. I would just make it a point to try and keep the same metallic quality for both the Knights and their steed.
Are those Forgeworld doors, or did you model them yourself?
Looks good. There's a tendency with Grey Knight players to make their LRs far too ostentatious and flashy, but this looks about right to me; understated, not too swish, yet still scary and shooty. The mud's a nice touch, how did you do that?
I am having a hard time seeing the details because of the pictures. Try taking some new pics so we can see your hard work in detail!
I have seen what my Grey Knights look like with bright silver and I didnt like them too much. I chose to go with a more subtle approach. My Termys are black with silver and gold trim to hint at their old aegis armor as well. I tried bright colors on 10 GKPA and a FW dreadnaught and though the Dread doesnt look bad, the GKPA look way to flashy.
Yes those are the doors from FW.
I did the mud by dry brushing snakebite leather, then a lighter brown, and then finally a bleached bone.
I wish I could get better pictures but my wifes camera sucks and my flip video doesnt take good pictures as you can tell. I took the time to carve bullet and blast holes in the sides and front of the LR as well. It is so far my favorite piece
Thanks again for all the advice and support. Once I get a better camera I will start an official WIP page
