At the moment I have some Necrons looking pretty dodge without a proper base and all and I was wondering how I could take them off their bases so I can redo them properly. I tried using a knife to wedge their feet a bit before sawing the cement off but I almost cut myself twice doing this. Do you know of another method?
You can put the Necrons in the freezer. I take it you used plastic glue to stick them to their bases. Plastic glue becomes weaker and brittle when it's really cold. That may help you. I think you still may need to use a knife. Well the knife trick may just require some practice, do be very careful though or you will spill your blood! If the bases you are removing them from are expendable you can chop up the bases. The idea being you don't remove the Necrons from their bases but you remove the bases from the Necrons. Use clippers to carefully cut up the bases they are on until you are just left with a small amount of plastic on their feet. Removing this should not be too hard. Be careful though as the legs of the Necrons may break if you try this.
you can try a small thin hand saw
