I bought a random Vanguard dude a few months ago and have finally got round to doing something with him. A fair few chapters crossed my mind whilst converting, but I finally settled on Black Templar because they're just awesome-o
I'll post up a bitz list if anyone is interested. I'm really hoping it'll be sunny tomorrow so I can spray him. Perhaps I'll name him too...
Thank you kindly for looking and don't hesitate to comment and/or criticise!

Mate that is awsome, I would really like to see the finished product and i'm guessing is going to be superb
Typical. I was going to spray him today, but NO! It's been raing all day. Throw me a frikkin' bone here! lol
Thanks for the comments so far peeps! What crusade badge do you think I should give him? Although his base is now covered with chaotic ruins, so bear that in mind
He looks good. I like him. Though, I have never seen the Aquilla jump packs before. They a new addition to something? As to painting... you could always brush it on. :p
Hehe thanks Kuffy. I could brush it on, but I don't wanna take chances on this one so he'll recieve a thorough spray when I get the chance.
As for the jump packs, they are from the Forgeworld Red Scorpion Vanguard set: Red Scorpions Vanguard Veterans with Sergeant Culln and I bits ordered a couple(among other things) from here: RED SCORPION SPACE MARINES - Items - BITS AND KITS UK I find this site an absolute GOD sometimes
He's basecoated, the silver areas are in need of a final highlight, the gold is still being shaded and I'll be starting the white and red bits over the weekend.
I shall take some pictures tomorrow-today, technically and post them up in the painting section. I shall put a link to it from here when I've done that.
I shall returneth soon! With pictures! And cookies!
He looks great, the pose is very natural, it looks as if he's pointing out an opponent with his sword who is about to be stabbity stabbed!
Get some pics of him painted up!
I hope you save a cookie for me . Great work as usual my friend, decent pose, good quality GS work and effective use of various bitz (Hey wait, he isn't an Ork. Nevermind.) of equipment which no doubt were lying around your room as they always are. What exactly have you added to the base then, since you mentioned it'd been chaosified? Will be looking forward to seeing painted pics, as I'm sure the rest of us are .
So here are some not so good shots of the Castellan with paint on! I know it isn't really evident, but the metals are finished and the next step is to repaint all those areas of black where Ii got excess paint on.
As you can see I have added a couple of spiky brass bits which have had the verdigris treatment. I added it to the lantern as well, but it's not so obvious.
And for everyone who's looked and commented as well as looking....here's a cookie!
I shall refrain from posting more pics until I have finished him entirely. Then I'll post him up in the painting thread with a link here.
