Good 'ol dad and I have decided to build a stompa. "Not another stompa build!" I hear you say, but have faith! This is scratchbuilt!
The build phase (this thread) will consist of my Father doing most of the actual building, while I have done "koncept sketchez" and give moral support, and the painting stage will be myself painting the beast.
On to the pictures!!
Lower torso: boiler room
Left arm: guns
Right arm: Close combat
Just a warning, though, this log will move very slowly.
Edit: could a mod change "stompa" in the title to "gargant"?
Dude, thats looking awesome. Are you sure its not more Gargant sized than stompa sized?
I wish I had as much patience and skill with plasticard as you.

Good job so far. You have the skills to pay the bills it would seem.
A bit more bulk in the arms would add a degree of orkyness. Excellent otherwise.
Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Thanks for the comments. Yeah, it is about gargant size, I just had a brain fart on the title. The detail in the boiler room is just spare sprue from WWII tanks and such.
The arms will be receiving an armoring treatment, kind of curved over from the front, leaving the back exposed so as not to cover the detail inside.
There will be many more guns around the gargant: flamethrowers on the upper torso (gun deck and troop transport hangout place), six-shooter rocket launchers on the shoulders, a gigantic WWII german self propelled mortar cannon in the mouth (an ork could sit inside of it), and a couple more flak guns and cannons to be fit around the body.
The work on the klaw(hand) is agonisingly beautiful!
