Hi guys first time here on Librarium online Just finished painting my Archon I dubbed "Amun Gara" and his two Incubi bodyguard. I've been playing for almost 11 years now and I have a 5000+ point force of Black Templars, so I decided to turn my hand to Dark Eldar
At the time of painting I only had Mithril Silver, Chaos Black, Skull White, Blood red and a bit of Goblin Green, also sorry in advance for the bad picture quality!
(Yes, my archon is Maugan Ra with the gun sight and Dark Reaper aspect symbol removed! )
edit: Please make sure your images are under 800px wide, these were pretty huge... If you host on Photobucket, you can re-size them online. -t.

Hi, welcome to LO, always nice to see a fellow DE player around the boards.
Those guys look pretty cool, the simplicity of the colour scheme makes it pretty striking.
I like the idea behind the archon. What will you be using the weapon as though?
http://www.armyroster.com Check out my ToP WIP in the projects section!
A very sinister looking Agonizer! I realise that in tournaments they go by WYSIWYG, So I may have to come up with an idea to incorporate a Splinter Pistol. The white on the bone needs touching up a bit too, and the loin cloth requires shading, although I was also contemplating removing the cloth and replacing it with the hanging chains from the Chaos Terminator Lord sprue, what do you think?
I rather like the "hanging chains" idea.
As for your minis, I would like to see the bone segments picked out. Maybe painting them as actual bone. I'd just like them to be seen as decor, rather than another highlight.
Just my two bolter rounds.
Overall, I do like the scheme. REP for you!
I really like em. Only suggestion I could make is that the metal could be made a bit cleaner. It must just be because the photos are fuzzy though. Try brightening the metal up and making sure theres only black in the recesses, then wash in a blue.
Oh, i just read the bit of your post i had forgoten, if those were the only paints you had verry good job indeed! I wouldnt have noticed you had a limited pallet when i saw you incubie (sp?). Verry good job.

And yeah it is the camera, I've actually only used black as the main colour on the flat surfaces (On the Archon) and I'd watered down some blood red to make a homemade red wash for the recesses, and then highlight the armour 'panels' in just Blood Red. If you're meaning the Incubi being washed blue, then that's a neat idea thanks It'd set them out from the Archon and other warriors (Of which I will possibly add the pics; should I stick this in projects?)
Thanks again to both for your comments!
