hey everyone, ive recently attempted to do some better than tabletop quality minis, and my results are OK at best.
my fine lines are cobbled and blotchy like on yriels cloak and eldrads bread plate... id like to know how to prevent this or what i could be doing to cause this.
granted i most likely just suck, but damnit im trying!
thanks for any advice!
Are you watering down your paints at all? That might be the cause of your problem. If you apply a few thin coats of watered down paint it might go on more smoothly. Since you are painting over black I would recommend getting the light brown foundation paint then put bleached bone over it. The foundation will get you up to the light color faster, therefor needing less coats and a much more even finish.
