    Are my paints discoloring or...

do I just apply it on the model the wrong way?

After 1 week, I can see a big degradation in the paint on my models. I mean, the colors no longer contrast as well as they did a week ago.

Does this normally happen over the span of only 1 week?

What type of paints are you using? I use GW paints and have never had the problem of them faiding and not hurd of it over such a small time period

Sounds quite odd. Did you thin down the paints somehow (in an unusual way)? How are you storing your minis?

Did you wash the minis before painting? If you don't wash before painting the paint might rub off more easily (though I think it will more like chip off than rub off).

    Did you prime your minis?

Did you mix two types/brands of paints?

did you store them somewhere and allow dust to accumulate?

Oh I use GW paint and I thin it down...

I leave my models on my desk .

Maybe I thin my paints too much?

Yes I thin my paints and I prime my men with chaose black primer.

Thinned down paint over a dark (black) base may be the problem. Try painting multiple layers over the black.
