Welcome to Librarium Online!
I like it! Nice theme. Any ideas on the color of the armor? I'd go for black or some other not too exciting color so you don't draw attention away from the camo too much.
Aren't you afraid it might become a hassle when you have to paint all those guardsmen this way?
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

Armour will probably be dark green like the vests in the photos, i consider it a nice challenge
Thanks for the feedback
I tried painting desert cammo on my Black Reach orks, following British Army styles,
Needless to say the outcome was bad, You've inspired me to try again though.
Thanks guys - so glad i've inspired you to retry desert camo
It looks good!
It does look a bit clean. The colour fields in the RL army pics has messy edges. I suppose you could try a drybrush-like technique but it might actually not look so good on a mini.
Good luck painting all those guardsmen in that style.
Say after me: Persistence is the key! Persistence is the key! Persistence is the... I'm bored, let's go do something else.
You have a great handle on the Afghan desert scheme, however you do not have anything representing digital..
The problem with digital is that all the patterns are comprised of 1/8 inch squares of color...
The digital comes from it being Pixelated. Attempting to scale this down is almost impossible.. You would almost need to take a needle and pin prick each dot and need to have some pixels intermingled.
As seen here...
Nice work on the camo job regardless.
