So here is my Necron Lord. I am very pleased with the paint job. I wanted an interesting way to represent the resurrection orb. Instead of him holding it, i wanted him to call it forth and use guass energy to suspend it. I am not to pleased with how this portion came out. any suggestions?
I took red acyrilic rods that i used for the warriors and destroyers guass rods, lit them with a cig lighter for 3 seconds, bent them backwards and let them cool. The red thing they are sitting on is supposed to be the same type of energy but being spread over the ground. I made the snow near the energy lower to simulate it being dispersed.
any suggestions on how to make it look better would be appreciated. Thanks!

Have you got any pictures, its rather difficult to imagine what you're describing. Some pictures would help us get a clearer, ahem, picture of what's going on and where you want things changed.
I quite like the look of it myself, in order to get the effect I think you're looking for is going to be very difficult to achieve. It'd probably require reshaping the rods before you melt them which is difficult to do without spoiling the rods. Unfortunately I can't give you any more help than this, but the best of luck to you, it looks a really cool idea and I hope you can pull it off.
The only thing that I can think of doing is using greenstuff and wire to suspend the orb and painting it to your satisfaction.
i would rather keepi would like to keep the guass rods, i just dont know if it looks like what is supposed to. especially the energy eminating from the ground.
