Gey guys rthis is going to be my test model for my new army salamaders. If u guys can tell me if there any rules for them that would be nice. Also in this modle i finally tried NMM on the goldish-yellow areas and the gun. Sword, well not to good so scratched it. All critism welcome and i did light source painting.
Whats ya think XD?
I'd say you have too much brown in there. So much so, that it's outweighing the green. The green of Salamander armour is usually striking.
its probably cuz the cape is all over the place and its huge.
It's not too bad, but you need more highlights on the metals, right now they look like plastic. Do some sharp, almost white highlights and it should improve it, I guess...
You also need more highlights on the cloak, maybe even change the colour like others have said.
The eagle on the back looks OK, but the gun's gold looks very plasticky. It looks a little too dark and dirty, and as has been said, not green enough. I'm also not sure on the blue on the purity seals, but apart from that it looks good. Nice try for a test model, I'm sure they'll get better as you progress.

The armour is pretty good, nice layering, and overall well done for a test model; however I do have some gripes.
The gun's gold is a bit messy, and it looks blotched on. I'm going to have to say the dreaded "do you thin your paints"? They should be the consistancy of 2% milk, and when brushed over your pallate, you should be able to see the dried paint under them.
You also have some weird reverse highlights going on on his cape when looked at from the front, just under his arm. You might want to reconsider the highlight colour on his cape IMO, its too... yellow. Try layering to terracotta from scorched brown, it might help take some focus off the cape.
Marines - All built, 4/5 painted. Tau - 3/4 built, 0 painted. 'crons - 1/2 built, 1/2 painted.
I suck at staying on task.
Looks like you were shooting with the flash on? The model actually looks fairly well done to me, and is being done a grave injustice by some hasty photography. Particularly the NMM on the back of the eagle looks executed to a standard that would be quite good on table top.
One thing I will give some feedback on is the lens on his eye. There's a reason White Dwarf is always flogging the 'coarse highlight along the bottom side and white dot on the top side' method. It works. Very well. From more than a few inches away the dot tricks the eye into interpolating a very natural looking lens effect. GW wants you to succeed at using their products, on the rare occassion they take the time to put decent hobby content into WD, the tips are frequently worth following
The way you have done it is by no means poor, but it's very jarring in its unnatural appearance and distracts the eye from the rest of the model.
Don't let the fluff police see that you've removed his backpack!
I'd go with a different colour for the cloak, personally. Maybe a lighter brown, bordering on cream.
Also, I think it looks really shiny, but that may be the flash. Hit it with some matt varnish.
Otherwise, like the others said, good stuff.

Thanks for the input guys. I wanted the cape to look like leather taken a harsh beating over time. As i didnt want to go with the traditional looks of bleach bone finish. Most of you probly see salamanders with a scorpian finish but mine end at goblin green. Also i might convey to Blood Angels as they have there own set of rules in a white dwarf i have my hand on. Yay to me. Lastly by no means will i be using this model as i dont see how a bolter and gun work XD. Itl be a display model or just something XD. Also if you can tell me if im wrong but salamanders dont have there own set of rules outside of some charaters?. Ill post of pic of what you guys probably used to to what i have.
