I started the update of my Farseer's jetbike last night. I added a rune decal on the hood and repainted the gems red. There's still some highlights and details needed, plus a banner, but for my first real attempt at any major freehand it turned out pretty well.

That is awesome! for a first major freehand im amazed/envious (not to great at freehand) also very bold by going with yellow one of those dreaded colors.
Yeah, yellow is a real pain. Luckily I only use it for helmets and details.
The Iyanden Darksun foundation paint is definitely a must have.

I agree, if I was going to be painting any significant areas of yellow, I'd be picking up some Iyanden Darksun fairly quickly.

My only issue with doing freehand stuff, is I tend to take too make coats to get things to look good, so the paint can sometimes end up looking a little chunky. That may have had something to do with less than great paint and base coat, though too.
