Welcome to Librarium Online!
I think it works well for an Ice-world theme. They will look better with the bases done up. Some sand painted a dull brown with snow-flock here and there wil work well I think. They do look rough and dirty which suits the Imperial guard. You could try to give them an ink wash of brown or some flesh colour on their faces. That would help to bring out the details.
i really like this colour scheme!
I tried using some ink on the face but I don't know how to use the inks and it just messed up the face.

Oh and how do you think i should paint the tanks?
Why not paint the hands black or white? Make it look like they're wearing gloves, i know i'd like a pair of mittons on an iceworld!
Apart from that, nice, solid scheme.
i hadn't thought of that... thanks ill try it out to see what it looks like.
they look great so far. I would definately try and bring out more etails on the face.
I use gryphonne sepia to wash fleshy areas...its a little easier than using the inks, and gives good, consistant results.
How I would do their flesh is this. Elf flesh followed by as wash of gryphonne sepia. And it';s done. LOL
I really need a scheme for the tanks... I was thinking white with blue splodges.
So that would mean blue tanks, but that might not be what you're looking for.
Why not make em black and white? That way you tie in the white uniforms and the black equipement?
Ive tried painting the hands as gloves but i still think the flesh looks better
