ok ok.. hi.
this is a ork kommando i was supposed to enter in a competition but that ain't going to happen. i hate to paint metal figures because always when i do the color (have no idea how to say this in english) wears off. that makes me not motivated to repaint it and all my effort feels like a waste of time. so from now on i'll try to just stick to plastic.
here is the pic of the ork kommando that i hate.also. the only thing I actually spent some time doing was the skin, the yellow on the front (not back) and the red. everything else was rushed. there is so much stuff on this guy to paint and i got so thired of painting him. and the result was i rushed him and he turned out like garbage. i think it was a good experience though cause right now i feel that i want to repaint him and make him really awesome. and right now it feels like i just want to stick to painting single miniatures one at a time, give him a really good base, convert them a little and ta-daaa! so maybe i should thank this ugly ork kommando for choosing the other path to paint the models really awesome instead of trying to paint armies that I'll always wanted but failed.
enough talk. here he is. lol.
here's a runtheard WIP. the belly is is to light compared to the rest of the model i know.
if you can notice i tried to make the staff look electricish. if someone has a little tutorial how to get a good result then feel free to share.
here's a WIP eldar. I should blend the helmet more. i have some problem coming up with what color the black parts could be in. if you got something on your mind feel free to share.
and at last. some black templars i painted maybe.. 2 years ago? im pretty happy with them for being 2 years old.
THAT is garbage? No way.
Yellow is a difficult colour to paint well and you have pulled it off and it looks fantastic. The skin tone is impressive too, the pale look is befitting for someone who will be hiding in bushes.
If you consider that garbage then you need to reconsider because I would love to be able to paint like that.
they look real good and look far from a "rushed" job. keep it up!
I think you should stop being so harsh on yourself! I think the Ork model looks amazing. You've painted him really well, and the detail, highlighting etc looks fantastic! I also like the look of your Marines! Very crisp!
Some great painting!
