strong base colors - will be interesting to see how you go from here
it'd provide some contrast to the legs etc.
I would think either black or white would do.
It looks like an impressive, gun-toting piece of candy. It's just a matter of taste of course but it seems a tad pinkish, could also be the lighting If a bit pinkish in real life, I'd suggest giving it two or three thin red glazes. As for the loin cloth. I'd give it a contrasting colour perhaps altough I do like the red one you have now.
Well, in any case, cool looking it is indeed.
I'd do the cloth in black for some contrast. Then give it an all over wash of red and some highlights to give it some more definition.

I would have made it suck less (Smiley Face)
was planning to wash it with black, since that the only wash i have right now. i wonder how red would look...
I think it will look better with the red gore bits painted black. I think it looks to red and it's hard to tell the difference between the two reds on it. You could try to paint the weapon barrels white to add some more contrasts to it as well.
if anything ill paint the tip of tjhe EML black, and the lance part black also.
in real life the reds are more distinguished than in the picture , and the blood red is more red and less pink, like someone else commented
EDIT just got some red wash
