Looks pretty good thus far. You use some form of masking to do the patten, no?
Hmm, maybe you in fact use that giant roll of tape that you have sitting next to the devilfish... silly of me not to spot that, really.
Welcome to the boards as well, by the way!
Nice, I have 3 devilfish waiting to be painted, and was dreading the masses of freehand camo.
Never thought of masking, dunno why it just slipped my mind, lol, thanks and nicely done.
Welcome to LO.
Marines - All built, 4/5 painted. Tau - 3/4 built, 0 painted. 'crons - 1/2 built, 1/2 painted.
I suck at staying on task.
Yeah it was a process, base coat, mask tiny little shapes out of painters tape, paint again, strip, re mask, paint again, wash the entire model, now on to the highlight stage which has just begun as of these pics.
I would probably do a different color pattern had it not taken me forever to cut and mask all those tiny shapes, but I think it looks ok thus far.

Great camo scheme! I love the Watermelon look! Really crisp painting!...
Very nice pattern, i love how you made the basic green shape ultra tight and then added a different tint of green inside it. Jealousy inducing idea!
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.
