    Chirality's Salamander marines

Here are some Salamanders I finished painting lately. I did some minor conversion work and wanted the Sternguard to stand out from the others in the box set. This is my first time posting anything. I hope you like it.

    Post some more pics!
They look great, are those homemade combi's or the ones from the commander box?
    Marines - All built, 4/5 painted. Tau - 3/4 built, 0 painted. 'crons - 1/2 built, 1/2 painted.

    Really nice.

I love how each one is different and they all seem to have some bad ass additude.

    Updated pics

Thank you all for the kind words. I added some other angles and two sergeants I run with above. The combi-meltas on the Sternguard are from the Commander sprue and and combi-flamers are converted from a combi-melta and standard flamer.

Here are some Terminators and a Chaplain too.

I would say the gold/metals are a little too clean/bright especially for the Salamanders who you'd expect to be more scorched...

Critisism aside, this is some very nice work mate, especially on the conversions and the general paint job, they carry off the gun-ho feel of the Sternguard very very well

the painting is really, really nice. They look clean, crisp and like they are ready for whatever comes to them.

I have to say though, the bases really let down the rest of the model. It looks like you glued some tan coloured grit on after you were done the rest of the model. From some angles it's like you painted the base itself, then glued on the flock then the model. It's too bad, because the models are stunning.

Whilst I agree on the bases, I think an application of some static grass would help no end.

Barring that, the models are really great, I would love to see some more of your Sallies.

I'd have to agree on the gold. It's a lovely colour and has a wonderful shine and shade but that's the problem a bit, it looks brand new and almost looks like candy. The painting's well done though, personally I'd dirty it up a but or apply a thinned black ink wash to create some depth in the gold detailing

In general I've never been a big fan of the new look for the Salamanders with the bright green & all (they used to be almost black with dark green highlights) but you pulled it off neatly.
