Thoughts about whether the following would work.
I am looking for a centre piece for my Emperor's Children and I am thinking of how Fulgrim was 'turned' into a snake like person. Now, I cannot sculpt for toffee, so it must be a straight conversion.
Now, in the first instance forget the cost of my idea.
1. Take the bottom half of a Tyrannid Trygon (that's the snake body bit)
2. Take the top half of the Keeper of Secrets (that's the many armed seductive 'sexy' bit)
3. Add a large pair of wings (not sure where from)
I have in my head Ray Harryhausen's Medusa from Clash of the Titans and having seen the original screen model something like that would, in my opinion, look great. The wings idea above is a bit optional, oh and the Keeper is Forge World not GW.
If you could get your thinking caps on and combine Medusa with Slannesh to create a Greater Daemon I would be grateful.
For wings you could try the LOTR balrog wings, presuming they still sell those things. (They're big enough for Hive Tryrants)
HHMMMM tricky... Well you dont really need skill to sculpt a tail. what id do is get a normal GW keeper of secrets and also get the fantasy chaos champoin of slaanesh (pictures bellow) , chop the greater daemon in half at the waist, chop at the part of the mount at just the top of the highest and biggest 'Fun bags'. then pin, glue and blend using greenstuff. finally if you want wings use the dragon wings you can buy separetly on the GW websight.
That should be reletivly cheaper than the Forgeworld option and will look awesome when its done!
Hope that helps
Sometimes the best defense is a good offense... Wait, what?
I agree that the Trygon lower body may be too small, not that much smaller but smallish. The Trygon is about the size of a Carnifex, it also looks like a big bug. You could try to hunt about for one of those macfarlane dragons or a similar thing. Things like that use big long snaky tails.
I advise a WHFB saurus head, crest shaved down for a head.

I must say I liked the idea of the Keeper of Secrets and the Steed of Slaanesh combination, that wouldn't be anywhere near as expensive as the Forge World Keeper of Secrets on a Trygon, however that would be more awesome and a lot bigger. I suppose it's up to whether you're willing to pay what might amount to several hundred pounds for the Forge World option or around 40-50 pounds for the GW KoS and the Steed of Slaanesh.
Thanks for all the replies.
I too have been considering using the steed of Slannesh, but imo the GW Keeper of Secrets looks just dreadful. I thought Slannesh was all about beauty, not a thing with a goats head
The background is for a Horus heresy campaign series. Having completed the great crusade we have reached the heresy part. I am creating the Emperor's Children and am modelling them on the whole campaign against the Laer (book Fulgrim).
In the campaign I can field some greater and lesser Daemons. For lesser Daemons Daemonettes are the obvious coice, but for the greater Daemon I wanted one that had the look of the Laer, hence snake like body with four hands, but with a beautiful head/body to emphasise the Slannesh bit.
This is what bought me to the Trygon/Keeper debate. Looking at Forgeworld there is a creature called a Malenthrope which also has a snake like body and is much cheaper than a Trygon. But its tail is very slender and would probably be way out of proportion.
Any further thoughts or opinions greatfully received.
I'd vouch for using the boobworm rather than the nids, as it looks like it's be much better in scale, and it's already slaaneshi.
