Has anyone had issue using scratchbuilt tanks? I am curious because I have been constructing a few Chimeras as close to GW standard as possible and am hoping there will be no issues using them. I figure if they look good enough, people probably will have no issue with them being used, at least I hope so... what are your thoughts?
If it looked good I wouldn't be annoyed in the slightest. But if I were playing boxes with some lasguns glued on...now thats a different matter!
Looking forward to seeing what you've done.
Maybe it is obvious to other people but what are these made from? One of them (bottom left) almost looks like foam but the others definitely look like plastic. Is that plasticard or something else? Looks solid regardless. I try to avoid giving GW any more money than they've already gotten from me whenever possible so if this wasn't too hard to do I'd love to make a fleet of rhinos this way.
Yeah, the problem is the tracks but i saw something online for basics... and they're all plasticard, unfortunately, i ran out of primer mid spray on the bottom left one (the other side is completely white still ). Also, the bottom right is a GW chimera for comparison...
