The Pedro Kantor model was really fun to paint untill I got to the banner (I tried a technique to make it seem stitched... did not work out so well) where it became a chore because of all the repainting and worrying about layer thickness, and even moreso when I realized I didnt dry fit my pinning... and wound up scratching off half the paintjob on the back of the banner with a bad stroke of the hobby knife.
I'm currently painting the Terminator Chaplain, and its turning out to be great fun, I love doing script.
Marines - All built, 4/5 painted. Tau - 3/4 built, 0 painted. 'crons - 1/2 built, 1/2 painted.
I suck at staying on task.
The Iron Lich Asphyxious from Warmachine.
As GW models go, Bel'akor.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
Kuffy, I think you may be on your way to curing my painting rut...I love that Eldar!!! Did you use white or black primer? It looks clean and crisp but dark; I love it. The metallics on your orc are awesome as well.
My favorite models to paint were:
My Chaos General:
My Champion of Nurgle:
And my Nurgle Herald:
Rep for you all, those are some beautiful paint jobs
A tiny bit of hate for you all too though, as you're all so much better than me
I think my favourite model to paint for me so far has been my drop-pod. Not because of the model (although I do think it is my favourite vehicle at the moment), but because it's got me into painting again, and it was the first thing I painted before assembly so I can take great pride in knowing I've done all the detail on the control panels etc. I'll be posting pics of my collection soon so I'll add a link in when I can!
I don't really have a favourite as such, as I'm not the best painter in the world and so dislike painting all my models!
Of everything I've painted my Necron Lord was probably my favourite. I've only painted a small number of Necrons since I took the hobby back up, but I'm pretty chuffed with how it turned out!
If I learnt to paint a bit better then I might enjoy it a bit more, and might be able to motivate myself more!...
My Artizan Americans in greatcoats
Those are some good models there. I like the Farseer. The Ork with the blue on it is also one I like, I'm not sure why but I just do. Reppy for you.
Mighty Camel, I like your model, though I just forgot how to spell it's name. I think I saw it before, it is good. Reppy for you too.
I think some of my favourites are my World eaters Chaoslord. My own personal Possessed, made before the plastic ones existed. Zombies, this Zombie here to represent many, many more. There is also this Carnifex, Razorfex. That bug was loads of fun to paint and kept me happy and busy for a while.
Those are some awesome models people! Any chance of seeing a larger pic of those possessed, Leech?
