Some kind of asphalt or concrete Id guess... Probably concrete, most of GWs roads are painted gray. Helpful? Theres not much more to say, I fear...
-A colour with gold trim.
Oops, I meant for the walls. Roads are probably black or grey, could actually be a khaki-like colour if the road is part of the wall, if you know what I mean.
You want to do road, grab a roofing shingle. Paint black if its not already black. Then drybrush grey, highlight it witha quick drybrush of light gray. Cut into the shape you want. Done.
And thats Fox's 40k sceney in 40 seconds
i have some hirstarts molds, that i'm gonna use for decoreting the wall. one of them are tiles, and i was pondering if i could use them. something like marble tiles for a fortress-monastery or so. most pictures are in greyshades so i was wondering if they just used greyish stone or rather luxurious materials like marble or so. depending on that i will add pigments to the gipsum to get a certain base color.
