Nice. I really like the mud splatters. I would love to see the rest of your army. Repped.
That looks quite cool. I like the muted colours and the fact that you didn't go "realism = LOTS AND LOTS OF RUST!!" like so many do these days with their "realistic" models.
I'd also be interested to seeing more of this Eldar-army.
Thats really good! Ive never been a fan of brightly painted elder tanks and such.
They always seem to be to fresh of the production line, kudos to you for making the attempt to do something more realistic!
Rep for you
I AM BOOMER!
Since wraithbone is organic, no it doesn't rust. Not all Eldar thingies are made out of wraithbone though. They use metal alloys and super-hardened plastic as well.
@HAL: of course, but I'm getting a bit tired of it. It's really been the "must have" for the past two years and every other model you see at the Golden Daemons look like they have neglected proper equipment handling for 50 years.
You know what i dont understand is how will mud ever splatter on an elegant eldar tank. They hover and with technology in the 40k century i doubt anything would rust XD comon we still gonna be using iron then ? But ya for modern times i really like it as it brings out the speed of the model and the dirt trail it forms. A+
If it sweeps by close to ground level and a nearby explosion throws up dirt and mud then i'm sure it would get a bit dirty.
From my point of view the eldar wraithbone would no rust and wraithbone is used extensivlely in the fluff of my army. Even though the Wave Serpent is a skimmer im sure mud could spit up on it if an explosion was to happen adjacent to it.
Here is the Dire Avenger squad which will be transported by the serpent.
I'll be adding another 5 Dire Avengers to that squad later on and paint in the eyes and the gems once i find a colour which will complement the current colour scheme.
