who has found the new range of valejjo paints, the thicker sort?
who has tried it already?
is the black mat in appearance ?
What paints are you talking about the model paints or the artist paints? Vallejo makes the model color, game color, model air, and panzer aces ranges for miniature models. The other types of paints are for fine arts like gouache, studio acrylics, artist acrylics, and designer acrylics paint ranges. You provided limited information for a company that provides such a wide range of paints.
I have used the Vallejo model colour range paints myself. They are great to work with having a higher pigmentation that citadel, contain more paint that the citadel range and usually come in at a lower price as well.
I havent used the black myself, but most colours will have a 'satin' finish, which is a semi gloss, just like the citadel range.
If you are having issues with the finish of your paints, try mixing in windsor and newtons matt varnish to your paints. Ill not copy out what it says on there site HERE is the link.
it's a new range they said, using more pigment then a regular game color. i can not find the reference yet on the Vallejo site.
i was in a hurry and didn't really registered the name unfortunately, but it had a color named "charcoal black" i think, a sort of black foundation paint.
thinking of it, i just should have brought it with me, but who hasn't had such situation before.
