I really want to build something special, so I thought, why not a titan. Everyone is doing imperial titans and no eldar titans. But I also don't want to do any old eldar titan, I want to do something original (hence make my own apoc entry, w00t). so why not an Harlequin war titan? below is a sketch idea, part of it based of Xenogear's Weltall-2/Xenogear.
As for material and what not, I an still not sure. I need something that very sculp-able and easy to cut after being cured. as well as sandable. I'm thinking clay at the moment, with the under lying structure as wood. most of it will be ball joints too in design. I'll probably have a tool made to suspend the piece as i sculpt them (wood platform and metal rod to set the underlying structure on it. I'll being using golden measurements for body proportions (with a little bit of elongated legs)
In the end, the project will be cheaper, however far much more artistically challenging.
The focus of the titan stats will be close combat and massive amounts of shots, instead of a lot of highly destructive ordnance shots.
Below is my basic idea.
OH YEAH! Suggestion please, anything suggestion on design or materials i could use. Thanks!
[EDIT] Whoops, could this be moved to modeling to, and not projects? Its just an idea at this point. Thanks.

Looks like a cool idea, i like the fact that it will be using a sword! I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.
You would think a monstrous 100 foot robot wouldn't really need dexterous digits, given that all its going to do is shoot shoot shoot, kill kill kill, but then again, barring the impractical part of non built in weapons, the sword would look really, really cool (then again, I never really got CC weapons on titans, they aren't exactly agile).
It just seems to me that unsheathing the giant sword with a giant hand would be so much more trouble than just, say, having a whole arm as one.
Or for that matter, just stepping on the damn thing =P

Marines - All built, 4/5 painted. Tau - 3/4 built, 0 painted. 'crons - 1/2 built, 1/2 painted.
I suck at staying on task.
I know what you mean fangda, like the titan power fist coming out, i cant really imagine two titans having a boxing match. :p I still think it would look awesome though. I dont know about the sword arm thing tho, i always think arms as swords themselves look really awkward and impractical. :/
well the sword is cool but i agree it might be to much trouble. however being CC is the focus, the titan will light weight and very moble. thats at least the idea...
It's absolutely awesome, but I do think the sword on the back is silly. The only thing I can see it being used for is combat against another titan - which is just as silly. All other Eldar titans have sleek guns for hands, which would be a lot better IMO
I would suggest one arm being a gun and the other a sword, or a cool blade. Even better, a two handed sword, or two one handed blades. Make up a realy cool Apoc. sheet and run free. I would suggest an EVA model. They are smaller than Revanant I believe but it would probide a good base model as you would expect that a harliquin troupe that is jumping through the webway wouldn't be able to take a huge titan. I suggest THIS one. Cut off the head, and give im a good ol' makeover and vualah!
