I'm making a fluffy Guard list and want to use the Lord Commissar with a powerfist, but the problem is that the GW model only got a powersword. I dont want to use a normal commissar with powerfist because he just doesnt look like a Lord...
Does anyone have a solution for my problem other than cutting up both models and sorta mashing them together? ^^
Take the normal commissar and add frills w/ greenstuff. Stuff like medals, gold chains, More of those shiny fancy shoulder epaulette things. And then give him a fancy-dandy paint job with more bright colours than usual.
A paintjob will go a long way. If you can freehand on the back of his cloak, it'd look very Lord.
just do a hand swap for another power fist insted of sword.
Thanks for the tips! Gonna try just painting one different to see how it goes, but if I see he doesnt stand out enough, some medals and chains should do the trick.
P.S. A handswap wouldn't work very well since the commisar uses his right hand for the powerfist, but the Lord Commissar got the powersword in his left...
Just use the 'normal' commisar with powerfist. Thats what i've done. A decent paint scheme and some freehand to make him stand out. Even modelling something like a grey beard on the fella to show his 'old age' will work.
Heres what i did to mine just to add a bit of character.
