Dark, Like "Elric", Dark armour, white clothes
Pale, pastel, pink, blue purple
Classic GW, NMM gold
Other, I suggest....
Im planing to paint a model for LOCS II (LOCS II - Revenge of the LOCs) and the model I plan to paint is Sigvald. I hope I can finish this time, so Im going to start as soon as possible.
Here is the picture to the GW home page. I have not painted this!
Now to my dilemma, the colour scheme. Normally I just don't care of an opinion on the overall colour scheme, I just use the colours I like, but as this is for LOCS I can need some advice. So my alternatives are.
1. Dark colour scheme, I go for a dark NMM look, kinda like the tutorial in the White Dwarf, one number ago? I use grey for the metal, glaze with blue for the reflection shading of the armour and warlock purple for the direct light. I keep the cloths in a white colour with blue or purple shade. The flesh are painted pale and hair white, like albino. A little "Elrik" feeling of this model.
2. Pale colour scheme I paint the armour the same way as the armour on my Elf, but use blue and ping and not green and cyan for the armour. The clouts are painted white with purple shading and not red/purple. Flesh has a more natural look, then alternative 1. A little like this but more pale and more Slaanesh, pink and purpul.
3. I use a more classic look, gold NMM. and white cloths with purple shading
4. Other, what is your idea of an ideal colour scheme
Every suggestions are welcome, and offers details in the different schemes can be change
Edit:I was planing to post this in the painting forum and not project, is it possible to have the thread moved? Thanks

I vote for 3! That would look cool.
I vote for the pale colours. While the GW way does look good i thikn something new and a bit more imagenation than reproduction would be cool. Although colour selection with pale pastle type looking colours would have to be careful to get full effect.

I voted for the first one. I like the idea of having dark armour, but having really pale skin and bright cloth to offset it all. It sounds pretty good to me.
And nice choice of mini for LOCs! Thanks for taking part again.
I will do my best, any way I will get the model today, maybe it will get more easy to chose with the model in my hand. I image the pale scheme something like this, in colours any way, I found the them in rabbits thread. picture of the week-slaneesh models
off course not painted by me
But I use a bit of blue as well
I really love your painting style, and i hope that you can pull it off nicely becuase i thinks its just a little out of your reach. But we will see in the future and i hope you prove me wrong
Ya i know, wasnt trying to make it sound how it did, was trying to inspire you to push harder and acheive greater work. I belive in u. You sure surpass me with your painting and probly one of the top dogs in painting that ive seen on this site. Cant wait to see some progreess.
I'd definitely go for the pale, pastel colours. It's very different from how people usually paint Sigvald, as well as being bot of a "homage" to how they painted Slaanesh warriors back in the days.
So yeah, dare to be different and use pastels. They are some of the most under-represented colours in wargaming and can look quite amazing when done right.
