i made some roads sometime ago and i decided to post the information for them.
i figured the land speeder is probably the closest thing to a warhammer 40k size car. i messengered that 3 inches per lane would be pretty close making the road. so to make 2 lane at 6''. i use this gray stone touch paint to get color and texture. that simple. i made 45 degree turns, 90 degree turns, cross intersections, T intersections, Y intersections, and various straight aways. this is so much cheaper then buying the GW road and you can make a lot for 1 can of paint. you regular textured paint and then do a coat of earth brown paint to get dirt road.

I went with the easy way
UrbanMayhem: Streets of Mayhem [wwgumsom] - $16.99 : The Official WorldWorks Games Store!, Exceeding Your Expectations One Game at a Time
7 inch square sections that I based on 3mm MDF wood, if I would have thought about it more I could have raised the footpath section on 2 mm balsa to make it more 3d.
SpaceWorks: FirstLight [wwgswfl] - $16.99 : The Official WorldWorks Games Store!, Exceeding Your Expectations One Game at a Time
Really brings back memories of space crusade
Might work quite well for Dark Heresy games too, if the board was built to be modular enough.
Thats pritty cool might have to make some myself or buy them. Ether way would be good in a game of necromunda.
"Should take you a while though because of your sloth like pace"
Click here and watch Gedderz try and cross the road
Nice finds guys.
