Well im thinking about creating a 5 man legion of the damned squad. Ive had a little look around and only been able to find things that have been made be other people, so decided this might be the way to go.
I was planing in getting 5 fantasy skelintons filing down legs, ribs and sticking them onto the normal space marine combat squads.
using skulls on 4 out of the five for heads but the serrangt having the space marine helmet but painted skull esque.
problem im forseeing is that im going to need to file down these bones alot and maybe even break them.
would it be best to make bone shapes out of green stuff? means i could bend round things,
also what to do for shoulder pads?
If anyone has made these before or knows of a tutorial some where id appricaite seeing it
thank you for your time

Better to model the bones and flames directly - the WHFB skellies have rather small rib cages compared to a Space Marine model, and they probably wouldn't fit very well even if flied down. I would certainly go woth greenstuff bones...

If you can get a hold of pics of the old LotD models from 2ne (or was it 3rd?) ed. There are some really good shots in the old Ultramarine Codex. But yeah, like what Dead Dude said, each guys is different, so its gonna be a challange to not use the same things on guys.
A good source of pards is either the skull pad from the Chaos Maruaders or the skull pad from the Chaos Termis, jhave used them both on chaplains previously and they look really good.
For flames the best bet is GS, same for the rib cages I think
Making flames on the shoulder pads is pretty easy- just flatten some Green Stuff onto the shoulder pad, cut it away to make a series of triangles, and then bend them with a sculpting tool to get wavy flames.
If you think Mathammer doesn't work and dice cannot be predicted, there's a whole field of mathematics called probability that would like to disagree.
sounds like a plan. i want to see when the finished product.
I am an Indestructible master of War.
I know one guy who filed off the mouth pieces and replaced them with little GS skulls. Looked ace.

Would love to do this once im organised and what not, anything you are looking for in particular? im not sure exactly what bits i have but it will be Space Marine related.
Actually i have done some hunting and come across these
+ them to standard Space Marine Combat squad bodies
Apply some Green stuff for bones here and there,
what do you guys think of this idea?
