To try and save some money in making my sister's army, I'm hoping to do some conversions using the regular sisters from the squad box, and the tips of the immolator multi-meltas and heavy flames. Question is, what's a good way to work with the metal? I'd love to take a hack saw to the guns to cut away space for the appropriate gun-ending, but 1) I'm afraid I'll butcher the model with a blade of that size, and 2) access to shearing off the bolter magazines is almost always blocked by important things like limbs and torso. Appreciate any help!
You're not making it easy for yourself
Basic sisters are really hard to convert beyond a head swap (and even that is a bastard).
Only ip is can give is get a Dremmel tool (motorised inscribing tool) and cut out the parts you need. It'l take a bit of practice to use the thing well but its really good at gouging out metal especially for head-swaps
Sorry couldn't be more of a help
power hungry monkey said it for me.

Save your conversions for characters.
That said I do find varying skin tones and hair styles/colours can make the SoB force more individual.
