I am putting together a bastion and I was curious how everyone is assembling the gun placements. For the top floor, I can't figure out what that circle side is for. It looks as if thats where you place a gun, but the emplacement piece doesn't fit onto it.
How many people are using the emplacement piece (The one with the three pylons coming off of it?) and how many people are just placing the gun on top of the bastion with the box assembly (The ones that also come with the quad autocannon)?
I looked through Planetstrike and from the pictures, it looks like most of the bastions have the box assembly holding their guns. Thats the way Im leaning because I think it sets the gun up a bit higher, giving it a better view of things.
For people using the box assembly, are you gluing them onto the roof or leaving them loose? I was thinking on leaving them loose, but they slide around a lot when trying to swivel the gun.
Thanks for you input!
The round side of the floor lets you mount the gun straight on to the floor, if that's what you prefer. Using the 'box' mount is feasible too and looks a bit better if you're using the quad-gun from the Aegis line. I haven't glued my floor in place so I can flip it if needed.
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
