Welcome to Librarium Online!
Meant to post this here and not just in my WiP, so here it is...
When I was planning my Warriors of Chaos army, I started looking around for alternative models and found these gruesome Chaos Hounds from Gamezone Miniatures in Germany. I bought four blisters of them and was excited to paint them. It took me almost a month, but yesterday, I spent four hours at the Asylum and two more at home, finishing them around 8 in the evening Saturday.
I like how they turned out, though the horns were a bit of a pain. I mixed with leather white at the end and made some problems for myself, but from tabletop height, they look fine.
So far this summer, I've painted two units for this new army, but with three weeks left until I resume teaching and four weeks until college courses start, not much else will get done. I agreed to paint a Skink Priest for a friend before the Bayou Battles Grand Tournament in Houston in early August, so I'll take care of it and then try to finish a sorcerer lord before the double whammy of school and grad courses arrives.
Any feedback is appreciated about painting, basing, etc. I still have to do something with the movement tray. I used a rubber stamp with a vine design for my Wood Elves, but so far, I haven't found a suitable stamp for this army and will probably have to base something properly for a change.
Wow!! I am absolutely loving these!! They look so...chaosy! Damn the only thing i might suggest is spraying a coat of matt varnish to dull the shine on them, as I'd assume the hounds would be more muddy/muted than slimey/shiny. I love the bases w/ the crystals and such...very nice. Also, maybe you could highlight the horns more, maybe to a mix of white/bleached bone to moreso contrast the red of the body?
Anyways, please please please post more of your stuff!

Looking very good WC09. Loving the model and your paint scheme.
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

Great Job. They look very very nice! Post more stuff!
FOR PIE AND THE IMPERIUM! (in that order)
Holy cow David, they are stunning. I love the red skin.
If I had to make one comment it's the base seem a little 'dull' compared to
the outstanding paint job the hound. But overall thats just a minor thing (maybe just a tiny bit of green static grass or maybe a small amount of snow, i dont know really but then again the crystals do look pretty cool, i think i'm just waffling at this point).
I think all of your stuff is amazing, your clearly one of the most talented painters on L.O. Thanks for sharing your stuff, you inspire me to push myself to do better with my own work.
