If you paint the black, as Lost Nemesis suggest you will have a ok result, still it will not look quite as the picture. If you are going to paint quick this may be the best way.
The the second option is to paint black highlight to white thou grey and glaze a bit with blue, enhanced I think will be the best. Still keep the extreme highlights white. I dont know if it will work with only black codex grey and white and then glaze, but you can try. I know it will work if you do the hole spectrum but that take to long. You can always experiment with a glossy varnish afther.
I dont think that bugs colour is to far of from my (Zentradi's WIP)WIP exept that I have used purple as well and my is brighter.

i am going to do it right, and not the quick way. Only problem is got almost 700 models to paint. Got a true Nid army, SWARM + Zilla. Around 15,000 points in the works only made like 100ish models up atm got alot of glueing to do
Looks more like Tin Bitz to me.
At least the Carapace does.
For the tank bug carapace i would go for washes only.
it's easy to apply for large armies and you can have some variation of color.
Chaos Black (base)
dark purple (you'll probably will have to mix some red, blue and black to get the right color)
utramarine + black
hawk turquoise + white
for small figures you can limit to
turquoise + white highlight.
i think the black yellow pattern will look like a bee or hornet pattern instead of space ship trooper bugs - so I wouldn't do it.
+ painting yellow on black can be difficult - you'll probably need 2 layers of yellow.
black ink wash
(you can try an additional chesnut ink wash or dark skin wash here)
bleached bone drybrush

Black is Chaos Black, the yellow is Bubonic Brown, and the red is Red Gore. Highlight and shade as usual with all three colors. Be sure to post pics, it's a cool color scheme.
If you think Mathammer doesn't work and dice cannot be predicted, there's a whole field of mathematics called probability that would like to disagree.
