Hi folks, summer time vacations is here and I took the freetime to work on something really fun just for myself this time.
For some time I wanted to make a small terminator heavy deathguard army, so I started sculpting some normal Plague marines.
Without further delay I introduce you, The Worm Lords.
THis one was done many months ago for a project that never really took off so he was kind of the first to be done.
These next 3 Plague marines were done just recently in my vacations.
And the familly picture
To finish this squad I need to make 3 more Plague marines, 2 of them with meltas... and a Rhino.
So this is my last mini project and I'm having lots of fun with it.
wows, love the green stuff work,
My ToP - raven gaurd <- cliky
Raven Guard W/13 D/7 L/5
Those are incredible.
They look very daemony. My only worry is they look almost too much like generic daemons, and not enough like nurgle.
None the less, the green stuff is amazing.
reps to you good sir.
Black Templar (W/D/L): 4/6/2
Dark Eldar (W/D/L): 4/1/0
Warriors of Chaos (W/D/L): 3/0/1
I think they look sufficiently nurgley without going too far like some people do where you can barely make out the base model anymore. I'm curious to know how long these took you. They look great, but are you going to do an entire army like that?
It really has nothing to do with you, but I'm sad to see nurgle the choice of so many chaos players. Tzeentch, khorne, and slaanesh(especially slaanesh) must be losing power as they lose worshipers. I guess he is drawing in players for both his ease of conversion and the distance you can go with green stuff if you're skilled (like yourself).
I hope once the legion codex comes out more people branch out to the different legions again, I miss seeing alpha legion, night lords, etc.
Anyway, these look very professional and I hope you can paint as well as you can sculpt =p
Woah, absolutely brilliant!
Wow, nice work!
The green stuff modelling on these models is fantastic,
Keep up the good work!
True Genius is often mistaken for insanity...
I will try paint them OKish eheh.
I know what your saying sometimes many nurgle convos outhere are just literally balls of greenstuff everywere and kind of kills the mood for me also... since this army is for me i can do my own version of nurgle convertions.
I must say I choosed nurgle since it has many similar challenges to my Nids.
THe last 3 took me about one week for each and I wil try to do a full army to this level.
Thanks for the comments guys.
I love l the little details. Particularly the way you've modified the backpacks.
