So I wanted to maybe start adding to my Dark Eldar army with some wyches, but the models are terrible, I don't like them at all. I wanted to model a unit to represent slaves the dark eldar have taken and have implanted with combat drug injectors. The pproblem is that I can't think of any good plastic models that have close combat weapons and can some way have a splinter pistol represented on them. I was thinking WHFB zombies but i don't know how to do the splinter pistols and I like to play WYSIWYG. Does anyone have any ideas?
They aren't plastic and are a little more expensive but you could use harlequins.
Well I'm looking to SAVE money so that's not an option. Maybe kroot? And I was looking at the plastic daemonettes as well.
A combo of those 2 could work well. I'm not totally convinced though.
Why not look into the Fantasy range of models? If you're after Close combat troops you'll be pretty spoilt for choice. Flagellants would look like tourtured humans. add a few Combat Stim Injectors and you should be on your way.
As for Wych Models you have the Corsairs or the Fantasy Wych models.
Following on from what Borak said. I'd go with a mix of daemonettes and corsairs. This'll give you enough of a mix of lesh and armour to minic the wych look and the corasir hands are already shaped to hold pistls and blades.
You could dp them up as eldar slaves who have been "subjegated" (raised eyebrow) by the dark eldar and have gotten hooked on combat drugs. You could make drag injectors fused to their backs out of plasticard tubing and a bit of wire. Would deffinately fit with the dark eldar look and give them the impression of being the favourite "pets" of a homonculus
Thanks for the ideas i'll look into the flaggelants and the corsairs.
