Has anyone got any ideas for easy to make tyranid scenery which is cheap to make or free??? 'cause i haven't, and scenery is important for tyranids so they don't get the crap shot out of them, as i'll mainly be fighting tau and maybe SM, CSM, and possibl necrons...

    Cheap Tyranid terrain eh? hmmm..
I'd go for foam structures. Desert like terrain, rocks, sand, rock spires, boulders, caves, plateau's, etc.
Add some alien looking plants to it. You can use seed pods from plants for that if they have a nice shape.
Or perhaps a dead forest from twigs and branches..
Tricky though, since you can't work with specific buildings...

    Good luck!

    Cheap!?
    Nothings cheap in this world!
The best idea is simply to make the terrain from easy accesible "grab away" materials.
You could find stuff on ebay or forgeworld...but it ain't cheap!

Well, there are some things that are cheap, but you've still got to base it and paint it.

Some ideas for cheap nids battlefield:

-Chicken bones(or bones from other stuff you eat, like dogs, beavers etc.), to represent fossils.
-sea shells and stuff like that, also as fossils or maybe some nid egs or whatever.
-DAS modelling clay. You can make anything from it, it's easy to use, it hardens by itself and it's cheap.
-2" thick polystyrene boards and a big knife. Those boards can be stolen from construction sites(not that I've done that, noo..)
You can shape them into rocky hills with your knife(unless you're completely unfamiliar with using a campknife). You can cut it roughly in the shape of a cyllinder, cover it in DAS clay and model it into a spore chimney.

O.K, i don't eat beavers... or dogs, just because you do, it doesn't mean i do too!!!

also, how the hell do you put those dam quotes in blue boxes on the replies, cause it would have been usefull for this reply...

    Okay, step by step.

    1) press CTRL+Q (CTRL and Q at the same time)
    2) now somewhere in the typing box(the box you write in) it says [.QUOTE]
    leave it alone for now.
    3) scroll down and find the text you want to quote. Mark it with your mouse, and press CTRL+C. This should copy the text.
4)scroll up to your typing box. Glue the text you copied right of where it says [.QUOTE], by pressing CTRL+V
    5)press CTRL+Q
    6) preview post and see if it worked!

Oh, and Absoluthor, very good suggestions. How about fish bones?
That would work fine. But remember the fossils shouldn't look like fish, so you must arange the bones a bit differently from their original positions, so that they look like the remains of a big scary alien.
