I'm very happy with my infantry's color scheme but I've just run into the problem of vehicles. No matter how hard I try to come up with something that would look good it just doesn't feel like it'd turn out right. Here's a pic of one of my infantry, sergeant to be exact, and any helpful hits on him would be appreciated too since he's only the 7th guy I've painted.
Just paint it in a camo scheme (white and grey for an snow pattern, green and brown for a wooded pattern, etc.)
IRL you're not going to match your tank to your army - you're going to make sure that it doesn't get blown up just because it sticks out.
In 40k it's a little different (mordians, Imperial Fists, etc) but i think if you just painted your tanks in a camo scheme it will be fine. If you find a better solution go with that.

I kinda like that last suggestion. I just got my first valkyrie yesterday, I'll try the paintjob on one of my sentinels first (after I rebuy my paints).
Any suggestions on which colors to use in that scheme?
btw, thanks for all the help. I'm glad I stumbled across this site, I've gotten so much help with army list stuff and now ideas for painting, so thanks all.
For the infantry give em a wash of either devlan mud or badab black all over and it should improve it greatly.
With your vehicles i would do a camo scheme based on whatever type of planet your army is themed on, for example if its and urban world that they are based on, shades of grey. If its a desert world, it should be brown and bleached bone. If its a jungle world, Green and brown ect. This should exclude the valkyrie (because it is flying in the air most of the time) which should, in my opinion, have the oppropriate camo on the top (jungle/desert/urban), and sky camo (light shades of blue) on the bottom. it should look Funky!
Hope that helps.
Sometimes the best defense is a good offense... Wait, what?
Spladge makes a good suggestion with giving the infantry a wash. You can then use the same colours with a different wash to tie them into the army.
For example, my army uses dheneb stone with a devlan mud wash for the cloth but dheneb wityh a sepia wash for tanks. This way it still uses similar tones but with subtle differences between tanks and infantry.

looks good, i like the color scheme. you could always paint the tank that tan color then do small pieces in Red like mine.
My tanks are Catachan Green, but the Track guards and the inside of the Sponsons(and a could other parts) are painted Graveyard Earth
bad picture but you can kind of see what i mean(and yes i know the box is on upside down)
