hey guys im thinking of doing a white scares army. but i really have many troubles with painting white.
could you give me some tips and tricks to achive a nice paint job?
and is the citidel spray gun any good for painting difficult colours such as skull white
any help wud be great.
lost in the warp
I don't paint much white but if you undercoat white then do a light black wash (spray gun). After that then just highlight white over that. Or you could do it the longer way that gets a more dirty white. Continusly highlight lighter colours of grey untill you get to white.
Just how i would do it if i wanted to paint white.
ah thanks well my mate says hes gonna do a raven wing force so i wanted to go at him with some nilla marine bike armys lol.
gotta use the gun if i do nids i suck at some colours and it just shoots it out nice and smooth =]
I have had really good luck with my air gun and citadel paints. For the regular paints I mix mine 50/50 with rubbing alcohol. Makes it really smooth, dries fast, and keeps its color since they aren't watered down.
I haven't done a white model but I have done a bone for a Deathguard Vindicator that I painted up. I used a mix of 50/50 Dheneb Stone Foundation and Bleached Bone and then mixed that with the alcohol and it worked out nicely. I have problems running straight Foundation paints through my airgun. It globs if I don't mix it.
