    A Fallen Titan

Ok so it's not exactly a figure that I painted but its still 40k related. This is a roof tile I painted for my local hobby store. Its a bunch of kids playing on and around the head of a Warlord Titan. An interesting peace time picture that I though would look cool. I freehanded this off of a referance picture.

The kids are drawing stick figures with chalk on the head. It includes a 'dread, the tau sign, a monolith, ork with power claw, and an eldar farseer holding hands with a guardsmen with 'love hearts' around their heads.

The two kids in the midground are playing war, one dressed as a guard sergent and the other with a big fake power claw. The girl has a sister of battle doll at her side.

Hope this reminds you why we fight and amkes your day.

C&C is always welcome. As I learned painting on a surface full of holes isnt easy, lol.

This is absolutely great. Absolutely. Great.

That is me shaking your hand.

(does the chalk drawings remind anyone else of the Underworld series?)

That's kinda cute! I don't care that it's not a miniature, it was good of you to post it here. It looks brilliant!

The textured surface kinda makes it look like rain or ash clouds or something, especially with the dark clouds at the top.

So it's being put on display on the store? Why exactly did they want a roof tile? Or was it your choice to paint on that?

Anyway, great job and again, thanks for posting!

First off thank you everyone for the comments. It means alot to any artist to recieve so much positive feedback.

Its a big hobbystore with a huge 40k following among many other games. I have several of my 40k oil paintings hanging on the walls there. Recently the owner asked me and several other in store artists if we would like to paint a roof tile for the drop cieling we have. I just happened to be the 40k artist. Its going to be placed in the cieling so people have something cool to look at. I plan on doing another tile this fall when I get back from college.

Now that is pretty cool. I got a kick out of the chalk drawings. Very nice indeed. Keep up the good work.

I love, love, love this kind of stuff, bud. Thanks so much for sharing! It's things like this that flesh out the universe and make it more "real"....going to save this to my computer for inspiration down the road.

Do you still have a link to the reference picture, I used to have it as my desktop wall paper and now I see it again I miss it.
