I was wondering if keeping painted minis in direct sunlight (e.g. in front of a window) will cause their colours to fade with time (you know, like a lot of things do). I certainly wouldn't want my collection to lose their original colours after many years.
Same goes for paints in transparent plastic jars/bottles.
thx for any tips
the UV rays will definitely have an effect over time
i have furtniture that has faded just from sun coming in the window
i'd try to keep them out of the light whenever possible if i were you
yer colours fade, the darker the storage the better it is for the paint (but not for showing off)
if your paintbottles end up in the sunlight it will dry up faster, keeping those cool and dark is also a good thing, no matter in what kind of jar/bottle it is it will get warm and dry up if the sun hits in

it's also important to note that this includes when you're painting under a light
if you leave painted models or lots of paint pots under the light you use to paint this will have a similar result but not as dramatic as sun light
