Hey, can anyone help me, im painting some IG and I want to know how to do highlights properly, thanks .
Someone taught/told me how in a PM.
Probably need a bit more info to help you properly. What colours are you doing them?
The basic idea with highlighting is to pick out the highest edges of armour and such with a lighter shade of the "main" colour, while leaving (or painting later on) a darker version of the main in the cracks.
In the absence of knowing the colours you want to use, just paint the main one on, then add a bit of skull white to that colour (or a lighter version of that colour) and paint that on the highest edges. Then throw a bit of a wash into the crevices to give a bit of shade.
That's a pretty simplistic version of highlighting, but might give you an idea.
A google search would also give about a trillion websites with tutorials as well
But I call to God, and the LORD saves me.
Im using a 2:1 of Mechrite Red and Red Gore, I currently do not own any washes because I can never decide which one to get.
buy the wash set, it's only like $22
you wont regret it, it's really useful to have all of them
