I'm having a mid-life crisis with my marines, on the verge of having a list that just might start winning me games I feel that I cheated my marines a bit with their paint scheme...
This is how most of my marines look, I'm slowly getting around to doing the little rivets and bolts, as well as painting the armature and vent of the middle section silver just to spice it up.
But because I do have roughly 50 marines with no differentiating scheme I was thinking about ways to go about making them more interesting as well as being able to tell different squads apart from each other.
I like the nice crisp blue of the ultramarines a fair bit and I feel yellow is a fantastic color, but a pain to paint it over hard-black models (not buying any foundation paints just to do it) but red and white helmets I think is a very cool look and maybe with the shoulders painted black over again it can either do good or bad.
I like these ideas probably the most of the lot but if anyone has any more suggestions of things I could do or you simply wanna tell me what one of these you think is the best looking I'd really appreciate to hear about it.
just don't use the Red with the blue if you are going to have White shoulder pads..
Something about the whole Red White and Blue.. Doesn't seem to work well on Space Marines.. Orthodox or Chaos...
The top middle looks great... I think it would look great substituting the red for blue as well.. Just keep the fists white..
