Painted this one up for a mate, he has been forever wanting to add a tau crisis suit commander to his tau list, he has been proxying but just hasn't had the motivation to put one together.
So i told him to buy one get it sent to my place and i'd knock it together and give it a lick of paint. Makes a nice difference from painting power armour all the time, so anyway here we are:
His main colours in his army are generally black with purple and red highlights. So being a commander model i reversed his primary and secondary colours just so he can stand out.
There was also a little bit of chopping with it's right arm where i changed the angle and the same again with the left leg.
Oh i also haven't added any attachments as i wanted to leave that up to mate as i am not a tau player i have little idea, so i will just paint them for him and let him do as he wishes.
Comments and criticisms are welcome.
Gotta pay attention to mold lines... Right Fist Right Shoulderpad, left shoulder pad. All are very obvious...
As to the attachments.. Tau Battlesuits are great candidates for magnetized pieces...
The red seems to have 'spilt' over on some areas (the antennae and the bottom of the top central chest piece). Otherwise, a nice solid effort.

Cervantes: In order to attain the impossible, one must attempt the absurd.
Yeah i just noticed the spills, so i have remedied them same as i have remedied the mould lines too.
Thanks for the comment though.
