Wow that's very clean. I like how it's not flashy, very in style for dwarfs. Nice freehand on the inside of the cloak.

It'd be a lot better if it was about 3-4 feet taller, I think.
Overall, and in all seriousness, I quite like him.
I think I'd like to see a bit more contrast on the metals (the gold especially) and the back of the cloak.
I really like the cold tones in the skin, he looks chilly and angry.
The beard is a nice colour as well, blonde is a tricky colour to get right, but the tone is spot on. I think a brighter highlight or two would really help make it look lustrous and well tended.

Only quite? Damnit. I wanted that as well, I still need to work on my metallics. They look OK in person though. The cloak was too bright at one point, so I had to change it and bring it back to a cool and subtle tone.
I am fond of the skin. I like to think I am quite good at painting skin, especially the face and arms. I'll have to practice more to improve it though. I am very pleased with the beard, blonde, as you say, is not easy to paint well. I like to think its practice. I could have added an extra highlight, but it looks good still. I have a tutorial in my thread and the tutorial's forum.
Shush you. Get back to painting.
excellent job! only criticism would be to shade the metal a little more, the iron rings on the barrel on his side seem a little muddled...maybe black line those or something. Anyways, always love to see your stuff!
