I recently was given the Death korps command squad by a friend as a birthday present, But im having a little trouble.
The banner has a brass rod which is extremely sensible as resin would snap so easily...
However I'm not quite sure how it fits to the banner, there is no place to hide it in the seams if that makes sense and no hole for it to go through.
The only thing i can think of is using a pin vice or hobby drill with 1mm bit to drill a hole all through the banner, but the resin looks brittle and is extremely thin, ive contacted forgeworld about this but have yet a reply.
All help appreciated
You're gonna have to pin it i'm afraid. Just be gentle and take it nice and slow and you shouldnt have any trouble. maybe start with a smaller guage drill bit first to make a pilot-hole then work up to the 1mm. You'll have to make sure the hole stayes centred in the banner top and hand so turn the prices every now-and-then to make sure your not angling the hole out of the bitz.
Grrr bloody difficult forgeworld.... the fact that by technicality forgeworld should now be made redundant because now gw can do extremely high quality models and molds then theres no need for resin and specialist stuff.
As of now, GW can't even get rid of those pathetic (huge!) seam lines in their plastics - they're a long way from rivalling FW, IMHO.
