Im making a deamon hunter/imperial guard army right now but i think the examples for the deamon hunters codex of Grey knights are to bland. I want to make my Deamon hunters look like they have been influenced by chaos and while they are still loyal they are on the brink of truning to chaos. any ideas?
Well, according to fluff that's impossible (But I don't want to start a debate!, but modeling-wise, it should be fun.
You can't go as far as using CSM parts - anything with arrows is no good. But maybe show that the GK have become more brutal? Trophies (heads and such), more sadistic weapons? Steal some DE spikey bits. Replace the NFW blades with WHFB Dark Elf weapon blades, they're suitably ornate and evil looking. Not sure how else you'd get the Chaos taint across without making them look like they *worship* Chaos.
yeah i was thinking about using darkelf blades. i know its imposibole fluff wise but who cares.
okay well for the painting aspect of it don't make them seem fresh out of the box make them look like they are rusted or the such as they have gottent lost in the eye of terror like the Space Wolves
maybe even use something from space wolves don't know what but they were lost in the eye of terror for a while so.
Arrg!!!! Tainted GKs!!!! NEVER!!!!!
Anyway............Paint them as normal but use chestnut ink mixed with a bit of red ink for rust instead of blue ink. Chip the armour a bit and you have it.....I don't like it but there you go.

I think this idea would work even better with the Inquisitor aspect of it, but if you really wanna get into it, cut off the heads of the GK termies and replace them wih some Chaos termie heads.

Desecrate some of the most expensive and well made models GW has ever released??? You are insane man!!!cut off the heads of the GK termies and replace them wih some Chaos termie heads
I like it. Just try to use the "thirteenth company philosophy" and use CSM bodies with nemesis weapons and storm bolters.
The only difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is that tattooed people are awesome and can kick your ass.

Dont use grey knights, use allied Relictors. Normal SM bodies with chaos back packs and daemon weapons. Daemon hosts are a must. Inquisitorial storm troopers are harder to convert as they are metal, maybe just paint them to look tainted.
not a single grey knight has been influenced by chaos ever...ever..
thats one of the things they are famous for
but as megalo said, the modeling possibilities are fun...say that chaos stole some grey knight suits of armour or something
