Hello again, painting forum chaps. These are my Skull pass Dwarfs, which I painted a couple of months ago. I consider the paintjob to be a fairly quick tabletop quality scheme rather than my best work, but I like how they look all the same. In fact it's been a long time since I have put a lot of time into one model. Oh well, I'll have to try going all out on a mini some time. Anyway, I've distracted myself in the course of one paragraph. Onto the Dwarfs.
Thane and Slayer
The scheme is fairly straightforward. Dwarf Bronze and Chainmail on the armour, and a variety of greens (Orkhide, Knarloc, Dark Angels and Snot) on the clothes. The snow they're trudging through is a mix of PVA glue, water, white paint and bicarbonate of soda.
Very clean and dwarfy. Some of the pupils make them look a bit crazy but that made me laugh so I approve. :]
I especially like the miner's banner. I've got to get my Skull Pass done at some point....
Obviously showing off their love for a good fight! ;]
I love the candles on the miners. Really well done, which is tough to do considering how awful the sculpts are. I just got the thunderers, cannon, and heroes from it the other day.
Great stuff, you took bad models and made them look good.
Black Templar (W/D/L): 4/6/2
Dark Eldar (W/D/L): 4/1/0
Warriors of Chaos (W/D/L): 3/0/1
Sweet as mate. Those are looking really good. I love the colour scheme. I'm loving the miners and the candles. ( and the crazy eyes )
Cheers and repz
Add me! Let me know your forum name too! =)
You know I'm a fan of clean painting, and these definitely fit the bill. I like the almost cartoony feeling with the colour scheme and even tones. +rep
Really nice job there!
