I used green stuff to make cloth but i want to make the ends look frayed and old.. Anyone have any ideas?
If you want it thin like on a cloak I would sculpt it a little short and let it cure then add more GS to the bottom, smooth it in then using a knife blade I would add the tattered and bits in using the displaced GS to extend the damage up a bit more.
It its on a thicker piece of of GS I would just add the tears straight on and make a little cavity behind it so the edges of the cloth can be seen. Its ok for a one off but if it would leave undercuts if you were molding it.
Here's one way to do it. Just soak tissue in PVA glue.
