Just 2 quick questions: First is what do you guys think of this idea for some homemade familiars for my WoC sorcerers, take some left over grots from my 40k orks and make them bloated/diseased like little nurglings. Shouldn't be overly hard considering they look about the right size to me and they already are rather imp like in stature. I was thinking fat bloated bodies with withered arms and legs. Second is are there any half decent alternatives to green stuff? The guys at my local shop say green stuff is great, but since I'm new to modeling (only a few conversions under my belt) it might end up being more expensive than it's worth (maybe because they expect a lot of screw ups and wasted putty) until I get more experience.
I'd go ask for help from staff / the vets, and practice/take your time.
I am tempted to do a nurgling out of grenstuff to practice now.

That is a good idea.
Your skills will be improved with practise, at first I could not make a hood... now I am getting better with bigger details.
I`m looking forward to see the model, just send me a PM with the link!
You can have GS for less than half price on E-bay, so maybe with this better price the GS worth the money.
I did similar stuff with some Gnoblars, so Gretchin should also look just fine.
It ain't easy bein' green... :-)
