Alrighty Folks! This is the first hobby duel voting thread! These two gunslingers have put their hobby skills to the test for their and our amusement! Please vote on your favorite entry. The poll will be open for a week, afterwards, when the dust settles and the smoke clears, one man shall be left standing. Base your voting on whatever criteria you would like, painting, modeling, conversion...however you see fit to go about it.

Joe Peshi (lone wolf) kill tally:Lash Sorcerer, Ghazkull, Yriel, Termi Libby, Vulkan.
I vote for Deadstar, because of the awesome glowing effect on his Lord's helmet.
Space Marines- The ultimate representation of 'Bros before Hoes'
Whilst I love the tail conversion on the slaanesh lord, I'll be going with Deadstar's Tzeentch guy. The combination of the glowing helmet, the purple lava base and the shiny bronze claw did it for me . I do wonder what happened to the third contestant, however...
Really well done to both of you who finished.
Both Lords are very nice. The conversions on the first guy are wicked. I love the base on the second guy.
Again, way to be the first finished duel.
Black Templar (W/D/L): 4/6/2
Dark Eldar (W/D/L): 4/1/0
Warriors of Chaos (W/D/L): 3/0/1
i too went with deadstar. i love his glow effects and over painting. i feel the yellow around the neck could use some work, maybe more shading rather than seeming a solid color, also the plasma coils would benefit from a contrasting color. making it stand out maybe purpe to tie in with the lava base.
the first entry, while amazing in the conversion, feels unfinished with the large amount of black in the torso and face. the pink could use shading along with your metals, badab black for silver and maybe a baal red(think thats the red wash) for the pink. and ading paint to all that black ould help even if its a dark grey rather than straight black.
both of you did a great job my hat is off to you both
It's hard to vote modelling against painting but, I went with deadstar because he's got some really smooth yellow and some nice highlights.
I did highlight the black with a dark grey, but it didn't come up very well in the photos. I didn't think about giving the pink a reddish wash, I might add that later. Not giving the silver a black wash was silly, I usually do. I'll certainly add that afterwards.
Even so, well done to Deadstar for the great glowing effect on the helmet and an interesting base. Thanks for all the encouragement about the conversion, too.
Make them actually fight in game >.>
For some reason I've been attempting to avoid this thread, because I want the result to be a surprise!
But I feel obliged to thank all those who've voted for me. I tend to be really critical of my own painting, and felt that I'd rushed this guy and not done the best job I could. So it's really encouraging (and a bit surprising!) to have people voting for me!
That said, if you've got criticisms, feel free to post them! I realised some things I should try and improve on while painting this guy, which for me was the whole object of this challenge - to try and better my painting ability. External feedback would be greatly appreciated.
