A question to pose on the color blue

I bought a box of thousand sons yesterday and would like to paint them their normal color scheme. However, I want to dry brush them to get them there. Why? I believe that dry brushing will give them a more wild appearance than normal painting and that is what I'm looking for in my chaos army. I want to know if this is possible with blue.

If I did decide to go this way I would base coat part of the model black, leaving out the head because of the yellow, and then dry brush the darkest blue i have. following that it will be 1 part of that dark blue followed by a lighter blue. After that a pure light dry brush of the lighter blue for highlights. I know this works for green which is also a draker color so I'm hoping it will for blue as well. Will it work?

Should work fine for TSs. I'd paint the helmet last, though.
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!

I don't see why it wouldn't, you could get a rather cool effect from that.

    You're all talk.

I'm sure any colour will work, the tutorial is really about the technique. I like Abyss because it has really good cover after a single lightish drybrush. If you're planning on a squad or more it might be worth getting some anyway.
